David Johnston graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1963 with a degree in mining engineering. From 1973 - 1980 Mr. Johnston held the position of manager of operations at the Fording River coal mine. From 1982 – 1989 he was vice president and general manager for Cominco Ltd.’s northern operations group overseeing three operating mines in the Canadian arctic and sub-arctic. During 1990 to 1995, he served as vice president mine operations of Cominco Metals overseeing the Polaris and Magmont underground operations. During his tenure as vice president of mine operations he was responsible for assembling the project and production team that brought the Snip gold mine into production. From 1995 to 1999 Mr. Johnston was president and general manager of Highland Valley Copper Corporation, North America's third largest open pit copper mine.

Prior to joining BHP Diamonds Inc. in 1988, Dr. Ott held positions with Amoco Minerals Inc., Cyprus Mines Corp., Asamera Minerals Inc. and Utah International Inc.

Mr. Allen holds a Bachelor in Business Science and an Honours degree in Accounts from the University of Cape Town and is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants. Since 1997, Mr. Allen has provided financial and business development consulting services to Mineral Services, where he currently serves as Group Financial Manager. Mr. Allen has served as the Company's chief financial officer since 1999. Prior to July 1997, Mr. Allen practiced with the accounting firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Robert M. Bishop has been a director of Motapa since March 2001. Mr. Bishop holds a B.A. in Journalism from the University of California, Berkeley. Mr. Laskowski holds an MSc in Geology, from the Colorado School of Mines, and is a Qualified Person, as defined by NI 43-101, with over 25 years of experience in uranium, precious metals and base metals exploration, and mine geology. Mr. Laskowski started his exploration career in 1979 and has visited and/or studied the major uranium deposits in Mongolia, the Athabasca Basin, Elliot Lake, Rossing, Langer Heinrich and the Witswatersrand Basin.
Mr. Laskowski brings extensive international exploration experience to the Company. His focus has been on the identification and acquisition of quality exploration projects. In the past, he has served as the President and CEO of the Gallant Minerals group of exploration companies, from 1997-2005, based in London and exploring in Peru and Mongolia. With Gallant, he directed the acquisition of 14 uranium exploration properties in Mongolia, which were subsequently ventured to Erdene Gold (TSX) and International Uranium Corporation (TSX).
Prior to his tenure with Gallant, Mr. Laskowski worked 17 years with Newmont Exploration Ltd., where he managed regional exploration offices in North Carolina and Minnesota, and obtained operating experience in the Post and Carlin gold mines in Nevada (U.S.A.). He also managed resource definition programs in Idaho and Alaska. Since 1983, Mr. Laskowski has authored or co-authored six geological publications.

Starting in the early 1980's, Mr. Briggs held senior management positions with Manitoba Mineral Resources Ltd. (MMR) ultimately serving as president from 1993-1995. While at MMR, Mr. Briggs managed the company's 27% interest in the Trout Lake Joint Venture and annually negotiated the sale of MMR's share of production from the 2,500 ton per day Trout Lake Mine resulting in annual revenues of some $18 million. He also represented MMR on the Board of Tantalum Mining Corporation of Canada (Tanco), North America's only tantalum producer. From 1992 to 1999, he worked with BHP (now BHPBilliton) as a project geologist in Eastern Europe and Southwest Asia. On the Reko Diq porphyry copper project in Pakistan, he planned and drilled the discovery hole in the H4 Complex, which is now developed to become a large copper mine. Following BHP’s corporate restructuring in 1999, Martin acquired from BHP a very large copper-gold exploration license perimeter in Romania (> 2500 km2) for a private company. This project was successfully operated and sold in early 2002, during the industry market-depression period, with a net 200 % profit on the investment. Martin then focused his interests on Turkey, where he acquired high-potential, precious and base metal exploration projects for Aldridge Minerals Inc. He became a director of Aldridge in January, 2003. Throughout his tenure as a professional, his incorporation of pro-active, safety management has given him a 100 % accident-free safety track record. Beyond his activities in the industry, Martin compiled the “Terrane Map of Europe”, which has been published in October 2006. In addition to Martin’s native German, he has fluent to colloquial language levels in English, French, Spanish, Romanian, Russian, and Bulgarian.

Prior thereto Mr. Robb acted for six years as Vice President Investor Relations to Trivalence Mining Corporation, a public company which mined diamonds in the Republic of Guinea West Africa. Mr. Wolfin brings 20 years' experience in mining and finance to Avino's team. Mamadou Keita has more than 25 years of experience in international exploration. From 1978 to 1983 he was chief geologist for the Bureau de Recherches Geologiques et Minieres, an agency of the French Government, heading a regional survey for gold and diamonds in Western Mali. It was during this survey that the initial discovery of the Loulo gold deposit was made. Mr. Anselmo founded Tri-Con Mining Ltd., a private exploration service company, in 1968. Burggraf directs Silverado’s external relations with state agencies, ensuring the company meets all environmental and safety standards. Mr. Burggraf is responsible for obtaining permits, managing claim maintenance, and implementing safety operations for Silverado’s Alaska operations. He holds a B.S. in Wildlife Management and Conservation with a minor in Geology from Cornell University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, located in Ithaca, NY. Mr. Burggraf is a member of the Alaska Miners Association and was formerly appointed by the Governor of Alaska to the Alaska Minerals Commission.
GILBERT A. DOBBS |
After finishing high school in Colorado in 1955, Mr. Dobbs began mining the following year near Grants, New Mexico. Thereafter he boomed around the western states working at mines in Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, California and for a period of time in Mexico. He attended the University of Arizona College of Mines for two years, after which he worked for two years on a mine development project in Chile, South America. He traveled to Alaska in 1970 for a short job, and found a home in a state that suited his tastes. Mr. Dobbs worked in various mining and tunneling jobs in Alaska, as well as blasting work for surface operations around the state. Placer mining was a late interest that took him to even more areas of the state, as well as a couple of projects in Western Africa, in the gold rich country of Benin.
He has worked in nearly every Hydro tunnel and underground excavation in the state of Alaska since 1970. He has worked off and on for Silverado since 1981, and is the lead man in all of our underground and surface mining. Gil is also the father of 3 sons, all of which are active in the blasting and underground mining business.
DR. WARRACK G. WILLSON |
With over 30 years experience in energy-related fuel consulting, Dr. Warrack G. Willson, directs all technical aspects of Silverado’s Low-Rank Coal-Water Fuel venture, particularly with regard to technology, feasibility, and joint venture programs with U.S. Government agencies. He holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Wyoming and a Supervisory Chemical Engineering Rating from the U.S. Civil Service Commission. He also earned a B.A. in Chemistry and Mathematics from the University of Northern Colorado. Dr. Willson is a member of the Alaska Miner’s Association, The American Chemical Society, The American Institute of Chemical Engineers, and the Resource Development Council of Alaska. He is also a distinguished recipient of the 1982 U.S. Department of Energy’s Superior Achievement Award and holds a U.S. Patent on a coal conversion process (U.S. Patent No, 4, 337, 142, June 29, 1982). Prior to joining Silverado in 2000, he founded Coal-Water Fuel Services, a formation of multi-disciplinary engineering teams. He served as the principal investigator for the Alaska Low-Rank Coal-Water Fuel Demonstration Project as well as the director of the Fuels and Process Chemistry Research Institute, Energy & Environmental Research Center at the University of North Dakota. A former visiting professor of coal science and technology for The Mineral Industry Research Laboratory at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, he also worked with the U.S. Department of Energy as manager of gasification and liquefaction at the Grand Forks Energy Technology Center. He previously held positions with Occidental Research Corporation, EI DuPont de Nemours Co., and the Natural Resources Research Institute at the University of Wyoming.

During his professional career as an exploration geologist, Dr. Eden has successfully supervised and managed mineral exploration projects in Alaska, Western Australia, West Africa, Europe and Central Asia for international mining companies. He is considered a leading expert in GIS-based mineral potential modeling by the international mining industry. Dr. Eden holds a Master’s Degree in Economic Geology from the Technical University of Clausthal. He focused his thesis on the “Geology and Gold Mineralization of the Nolan Area in the Brooks Range, Alaska”.
Dr. Eden also holds a Doctorate Degree in Exploration Geology with an emphasis in GIS applications in mineral exploration from the University of Technology Aachen. He has received two internationally recognized research awards for his academic achievements.

Daniel L. Basketfield, P.E., Silverado Green Fuel Inc.’s Vice President of Environmental Engineering, brings the company public, private and industry expertise gained through more than 19 years of experience as a practicing professional engineer. A licensed civil engineer in the states of Washington, Alaska and Hawaii, and licensed agricultural engineer in the State of Oregon, Mr. Basketfield has specialized in federal, state and local permit acquisition, compliance and administration; water resource analysis and management; surface and subsurface water quality, hydrology and hydraulics; contaminated site assessment and remediation; and rural and remote-site water and wastewater design, testing, analysis and reporting. Mr. Basketfield was educated as an Agricultural Engineer (B.S., M.S) at Oregon State University, and engaged in additional study at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Across his career he has served in various positions that include Senior Water Resources Engineer and Acting Water Resources Business Area Manager for Seattle Public Utilities, co-founder of a private engineering firm specializing in Interior Alaska water and wastewater systems, Senior Environmental Engineer for Tri-con Mining Alaska Inc., Environmental Engineer and Interior District Contaminated Sites Coordinator for the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation, and Tribal Agricultural Engineer for the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of Northwest Montana. Mr. Basketfield has also had the opportunity to engage in work with NOAA’s Climate Change Science Program as an advisor and contributing author on decision support systems, and has independently co-authored several papers on topics that include the non-linear analysis of hydrologic and climatic data.

Mr. McKelvey, MS. Geol., has more than forty years of extensive, international experience in Latin America, Africa, and Europe in expanding responsibilities for signiificant mining companies such as Kennecott, Cominco, Homestake, and Phelps Dodge. He also acts as an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Arizona in their International Center for Mining Health, Safety, and Environment and worked for the USGS in Latin America. He has also consulted for Lundin, Codelco, Phelps Dodge, Newmont Mining, Gerald Metals, and Quadra Mining.
Mr. McKelvey has successfully directed and led innovative exploration efforts, resulting in the discovery and identification of several major ore deposits. He participated in or led the teams that discovered Sossego (Cu/Au) in Brazil; Sheep Creek (Zn, Cu, Co) in Montana; Spar Lake--Cabinet Mts. Prior to that appointment he had been Vice President, Finance and Director of Cominco Resources International Ltd., the listed international exploration arm of Cominco Ltd., and had held senior positions in Cominco's finance organization. During his career with Teck Cominco he also served as a director of several subsidiary and associated companies. Between 1965 and 1974 Mr. Morris worked in Peru for Cerro de Pasco Corporation and Centromin. He is a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK) and is also a director of several junior mining companies. George Sanders |
George is a member of the Association of Professional Geoscientists and Engineers of British Columbia and is a Licensed Engineering Geologist in the State of Washington. He worked for subsidiaries of Gold Fields PLC during the 1980's in Chile and Nevada, and was Exploration Manager for Canyon Resources in Argentina from 1993 to 1995. Mr. Sanders was educated at the Colorado School of Mines and the University of Arizona. He is active in the Mining and Exploration Division of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME) and also belongs to the Society of Economic Geologists (SEG) and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG). George writes the Argentina Annual Review for the Mining Journal of London each year and was a founding member of Argentina's GEMERA, a group of mineral exploration companies formed to lobby the government on issues of concern to foreign mining investors.

Cusac is one of the few Vancouver mining juniors to "hit for the cycle" by taking a gold property from grass-roots exploration to profitable, full scale gold production. He is a registered Professional Engineer graduating from The University of Saskatchewan.
Duane has been in the exploration side of the mining business for 40 years working internationally in Greece, Australia, Mexico and the USA. He has had considerable success including the discovery of the Santa Fe Gold Deposit in Nevada in 1981. Duane founded Almaden Resources Corp and in 1996 bought an interest in Fairfield Minerals Ltd., the companies were amalgamated in 2001 under the new name of Almaden Minerals Ltd.

Mr. Froc holds a geological engineering degree from the University of Saskatchewan and has worked in the resource and urban development sector primarily in British Columbia for the past 25 years. He is a registered Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia. He has been actively involved in various stages of precious metals, base metals and industrial mineral exploration since 1980. Project involvement ranged from grass-roots exploration, computer database development, data quality control and assurance, feasibility studies, small scale pilot projects to technical editing and report writing for Stage II documents submitted to the British Columbia Government as part of the Mine Review Process. Mr. Froc became involved with the Company over two years ago as a consulting engineer. He will be responsible for the management of the Company's engineering and technical studies including infrastructure and socio-economic project development. This will include various levels of public relations and consultation with government officials, first nations, community and special interest groups.

Exploration targets included volcanogenic massive sulphides, carbonate and sandstone hosted Pb-Zn-Ag, vein gold, intrusive hosted gold, base metal skarn, and tungsten-molybdenum porphyry deposits for the Amax group of companies. Between 1994-1998, he was district exploration manager for Cyprus Gold in Western Australia. Since returning to Canada Mr. Hitchins has worked with Vancouver based junior exploration companies.
Erik Scheel |
Mr. Scheel is responsible for the continued development of the Turnagain geologic model. This includes overseeing the advancement of the deposit mineral resource/reserve estimates and the planning and on-site management of future exploration and development drilling for the project.
Mr. Scheel completed his bachelor's degree at the University of Alberta in 2004, with his thesis work based on the metamorphic evolution of part of the Neoarchean Wheeler Basin north of Yellowknife. Erik completed his master's degree at the University of British Columbia in 2007. Mr. Scheel's master's research focused on the company's Turnagain property, with which he became involed in June 2004. Erik determined that the nickel-sulphide mineralization on the Turnagain Property was the result of assimilation of graphitic country rocks into the Turnagain intrusion's parent magma.

Mr. McKee has extensive heap-leach mining experience, and was the General Manager at the Zarafshan-Newmont heap-leach gold mine in Uzbekistan from 2001 to 2004.

Mr. Patterson has over 12 years experience in the mineral exploration business and brings a wealth of international experience to the Jinshan team. Mr. Patterson has previously worked for majors such as Homestake Canada (now Barrick) as well as various juniors such as IMA Exploration. During Mr. Patterson's four years as Exploration Manager for IMA, he led the team that was responsible for the Navidad discovery and took the project from a grassroots find to a world-class silver deposit. Mr. Patterson holds a Master's degree in Geology as well as a Geological Engineering degree, both obtained at the University of British Columbia. He is a registered professional geoscientist in the province of British Columbia.

Until 1999, he was Vice President Corporate Finance for the Chase Manhattan Bank in Toronto, and was the principal executive managing and developing a portfolio of Canadian mining clients. Between 1989 and 1992, he held positions with Corona Corporation, a Canadian mining company, including time at two of their operations. She has explored for, base and precious minerals, and diamonds in Canada , South America, Southeast Asia , Australia , and Europe . Joan has a strong exploration background with a comprehensive knowledge of both geophysical and geochemical exploration techniques as well as the experience to manage a variety of exploration programs from developing mine reserves to regional grassroots programs.

John has been employed in mineral exploration since 1970 in a number of positions including Exploration Manager, Central Canada, for Noranda Exploration Co., and Senior Geologist for Bow Valley Industries Ltd. He has also served as director of a number of public companies.
